CPN 50th Gala a Smashing Success!

Hallway chatter says that our Anniversary Celebration on June 10 was a “dazzling and surprising” event! We’re currently combing through hundreds of photos and will soon post photo highlights. Thanks to the hard work performed by the 50th Anniversary Committee, our Community Room was transformed into an elegant black and gold party space featuring a table  of memorabilia and a display of “The 50 Club” names of Shareholders who moved to our building in 1967. The real hit of the night was the outdoor space where our beleaguered deck was turned into a disco complete with dance floor and twinkling party lights. Thanks to a great DJ, shareholders danced with each other until we had to turn off the music and beg people to leave! Party-goers raved about the southern cuisine served by Hill Country. Also a big hit were the bartenders and waiters which came from Columbia University.

During the cocktail hour, Oscar Jonas, Community Liaison Director of Senator Velmanette Montgomery’s office presented Board President Ted Valand with a Legislative Resolution commemorating our 50th.

The only problem now is that Shareholders want an outdoor party every month! Hmmmm.
