Author Laura Silver (holding book) is pictured with Daniel Cainer, a musician/storyteller from London. Also pictured is Noodle Pudding owner Antonio Migliacco and Amy Longo.
Ms. Silver was a delightful speaker. She traced the origins of knishes for the audience from an essay to an in-depth book. Locations included Poland, Croatia, Israel, Minneapolis and of course Brooklyn. There were about 40 people in attendance, including the owner of our neighborhood restaurant “Noodle Pudding”. The audience asked and received answers to quite a few questions. After Ms. Silver’s talk, mushroom, spinach and potato knishes were served with beverages.
