WINTER MAY BE COMING… BUT IT’S SPRINGTIME AT CADMAN PARK

To show their appreciation for the park they love, scores of volunteers will plant 1,600 daffodil bulbs in Cadman Park on Saturday, November 8th from Noon to 3PM. Come next Spring, the bulbs will sprout beautiful yellow flowers for all to enjoy. The second annual daffodil planting is being staged in association with the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, The Daffodil Project, New Yorkers for Parks and Partnerships for Parks. There’s no doubt that when it comes to public parks, Brooklynites have a bountiful choice of options. From the exciting new Brooklyn Bridge Park to the developing Dumbo and Williamsburg waterfronts, nature abounds in our lucky borough. Amidst all this greenery, one park has been quietly and graciously serving Brooklyn and beyond for decades. Cadman Park, bounded by Cadman Plaza East and West, and Tillary and Johnson Streets, is located on the border between the historic neighborhoods of Brooklyn Heights and Downtown Brooklyn.
