Tourist sightseeing helicopters fly 10 hours a day, 6 days a week year-round, from the New York City-owned Downtown Manhattan Heliport. Out of 58,000 total annual flights originating at this heliport, over 56,000 are tourist flights (97%).

These nonessential flights pollute our environment, harm our children, and make us miserable – yet Mayor de Blasio continues to use City-owned space to subsidize these for-profit operators.
